What's Nutrition Coaching About?

At CrossFit Resurgens, we recognize nutrition can seem overwhelming. Should I eat Paleo? Why is everyone talking about Keto? What are macros? You search for answers online and everything becomes a bit fuzzy because of the conflicting or overwhelming amount of information around diet trends. You try some new diet, but it doesn’t go well. Then you gain the weight back. How are you supposed to make sense of it all and create a real, lasting change?

 

That’s where our Nutrition Coaching process comes in: our goal is to simplify nutrition in a way you will understand, learn, and gain freedom in your eating - for life. A life well-lived means learning to fuel your body well (to find a consistent weight, build strength, and have more energy.)

 

Alongside a Nutrition Coach,

  • You will rediscover the true meaning of health that is rooted in nourishment, not deprivation or shame in the foods you choose to eat.
  • Through one-on-one sessions, you will practice new eating habits and troubleshoot your biggest nutrition challenges.
  • Your Nutrition Coach will help you stay consistent, motivated, accountable, and they will help you radically improve your nutrition, lifestyle, and health over time.
 
Our nutrition coaching program is not a diet plan or a quick fix. Diet plans and extreme dieting strategies are difficult to execute, have consequences and usually fail over time. Our goal is to create long-term, sustainable habits that lead to long-term sustainable weight loss. Are you ready for a change?

 

Our Onboarding Process

We start with you – your life, your needs, and your goals. Then, we’ll develop a personalized plan to help your eating habits get better. Over time, you’ll develop healthy habits that become second nature and fit into your everyday life.

We begin with a 60-minute initial session where your Nutrition Coach will take pictures, body measurements, and start to uncover your relationship with food and your body.

 

Our Coaching Sessions

During our follow-up coaching sessions, we discuss where you have been, where you are now, and dig deep to unravel the “why” behind your unwanted eating concerns. Our sessions focus on introducing strategies to help you move towards your goals, working through barriers, and revisiting and adjusting your goals to help you and propel you forward. We talk through: 

  • big picture goals/action steps

  • portion control

  • food types

  • food timing

  • grocery shopping

  • meal prep

  • intuitive eating
